Jay Z Designs The Brooklyn Nets Logo

New York now welcomes its second NBA team, the Brooklyn Nets with the revealing of the new Brooklyn Nets Logo on Monday morning.  The Nets just moved from New Jersey to Brooklyn, New York as last season came to a close. The new logo features a simplistic approach with a black and white color scheme designed by none other than part-owner and hip hop King Jay-Z.

The inspiration behind the new Brooklyn Nets logo is “to pay homage to the oldest New York subway signage system,” as

reported by ESPN. To match the new black and white logo the Brooklyn Nets will be sporting brand new black and white jerseys. The Brooklyn Nets are hoping this change brings them a more competitive spirit bringing them a great impact on the upcoming season as the team moves into their $1 billion arena.
