The Carib Style Week Designers You Need to Know: Louca Bell

Our friends at Trinidad Lookbook are covering the amazing designers for Carib Style Week – check out this interview with designer Louca Bell!

The 2nd Annual Carib Style Week is happening in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and the excitement is too real. In addition to a Caribbean Fashion Pop-Up Experience and a massive showcase at Westfeld Broward, there are several dope fusion events; all featuring Caribbean designers. The schedule takes you around Ft. Lauderdale, with the fusion events happening at cool event spaces, night spots and one particularly awesome rooftop pool situation.

Luckily, the schedule also features a slew of sensational designers. Over the next few days, we’ll introduce you (or re-introduce, because I know you guys pay attention) to them, starting with… drum roll, please…

LOUCA BELL

Haitian designer, Louca Bell is about to be your new fave. The label only really started popping over the last year, but is bringing a whole new level of kreyol vibes your way.

Where are you from? What’s your Caribbean heritage?

Cap-Haïtien, Haiti

What’s your design motto?

The client must always feel like a goddess.

You get to dress anyone. Who’s your dream client?

Is it too cliched to say Beyonce? No? Beyonce!

You go back in time, to your dream internship. Where are you?

Valentino. It’s style people can relate to. I like that.
