Hype Health: Don’t Eat Your Emotions!

We’ve all done it, we’ve all been through it, and we’ve all experienced it. Emotional eating! Bad break-up, failed a test, lost a job, bombed and interview…that big jug of cookie dough ice cream doesn’t look so bad right about now, right?

This is one of the biggest reasons for weight gain. Of course for that low percentage of people that go to the gym to release their sadness or depression, a lot of us deal with trying times by indulging in our favorite desserts.

Although, the better alternative would be to go to the gym instead, some of us just cope with our emotions in other ways. So to still heal your wounds with that indulgence, but avoid putting on the pounds, it’s time we find better alternatives.

You know that cookie dough ice cream that looks amazingly tasty right now? They have it in “Frozen Yogurt” form. Although, what we like to call “Froyo” has sugars in it as well, it is a lot better for you than the regular Cookie Dough ice cream.

Into baking brownies when you’re “in your feelings”? Did you know you can make some yummy brownies with chocolate protein powder instead?! Yes, brownies can be healthy…ish!

Oh, but what about those cookies?! Hmm…well you should definitely avoide oreos all together, but try going for the “not so fattening” cookies instead. Oatmeal raisin, maybe?

Stay strong you can get through this. At the end of the day, all pain is temporary and you will make it through this trying time. Just remember to not let this hard time, push you to bring on even harder obstacles for yourself.
