#MomBoss Series is Coming to HypeGirls
Hey #MomBoss, we see you!
Running your own business while raising a family is no joke. I’ve gotten my first taste of this recently, my son is just about to turn one year old. This first year of motherhood has been a whirlwind, and has made my work both more difficult and more rewarding at the same time!
For most mompreneurs, starting a business is a way to generate income and hopefully get more time to spend with your kids. In many cases (like myself) our children are what inspires us to become our own boss. The dream of being able to work from home and not miss a single moment of my son’s growth was something I had to make happen. So I did 🙂
Don’t get it twisted, entrepreneurship is HARD WORK. Like a ton of hard work. It is often portrayed that we spend 100% of our time dedicated to our business, but in reality this is not true. In fact, it is impossible as a parent! We also have to make time for our families and to take care of ourselves. Fortunately, being a mom automatically comes with a wealth of skills – multitasking, patience, creativity, managing a budget – all which are great to have as an entrepreneur! But the key is to not let the perception of the entrepreneur lifestyle make you feel like you can’t do it.
Starting next month, I will be covering topics for my fellow mompreneurs through articles, tips and helpful video blogs to help you be the best #MomBoss possible. Our goal with this series is to lift you up, connect you to other moms and give you a little bit of education on the way. I will also be interviewing some amazing women who are building their business all while raising their families. I can’t wait to share some of their incredible stories with you all!
Here at HypeGirls, we are all about girl power, feminism and collaboration. We don’t hate or discriminate! If you are a mompreneur who would like to work with us, share your story or have your business featured, please shoot us an email to [email protected]
Stay tuned! 🙂
