The Voice Season 2 Blind Auditions
The Voice is back and I’m more excited than ever! I usually don’t watch shows that fall in the “American Idol” category but this show is my guilty pleasure. For those of you that haven’t watched here’s a run down on The Voice Season 2.
During the blind auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don’t get to see the artist – thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he/she pushes a button to select the artist for his/her team. At this point, the coach’s chair will swivel so that he/she can face the artist he/she has selected.

The Voice Season 2 coaches are Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and the gorgeous man Adam Levine. The coaches are in pure competition and they let each other have it! Especially, Christina she is always playing hard ball especially with Adam. ( Can you say sexual tension? I think right! )
So far Jamar Rogers stole my heart, an energetic “comeback kid” from New York, who despite his rough past battling an addiction to Crystal Meth and now battling HIV continues to have such a fighting spirit performed “Seven Nation Army.” His sound is very similar to that of Cee Lo, which is perfect because Cee Lo chose him to be on his team. You can see that the excitement he feels is genuine, I love him! I think his energy and voice is going to be a force to reckon with darling!
Also, someone to watch out for is super sweet Lindsey Pavao, performing at coffee houses and overcoming stage fright. Her rendition of Trey Songz’ “Say Aah” was so ridiculously cool I seriously downloaded it off of iTunes! Her voice is so eerie and smooth but with influences from the great Fiona Apple, what else could you expect. She landed on Team Christina.
Lastly, also on Team Christina is Jesse Campbell, a soulful crooner who is also a single dad left taking care of his daughter after his wife decided he couldn’t provide for her lifestyle. Jesse has been singing anywhere and everywhere he is wanted especially churches. Let me just inform you that the training and control this man has is crazy the coaches went insane fighting for him. Ultimately, the queen won him over. I think he has the same recipe as last year’s winner Javier Colon from Team Adam, even the same initials JC, freaky.
Anyways, stay tuned to “The Voice,” I know I will! Mondays at 8pm.
