Feminine wipes are the go-to solution if you don’t have time to shower after a workout, need a quick refresher before a date, or just want to try something better than typical toilet paper.

Like many of us, I often use feminine wipes or baby wipes after using the bathroom because it makes you feel so clean! But my research taught me that not all wipes are created equal, and it was important to look for products that are pH -balanced and chemical free.

In my search for a good wipe, Swipes Lovin’ Wipes came across my Instagram timeline and I really liked their feed. I was already curious to learn more about this brand, so when they reached out to me to try their eco-friendly wipes, I was more than excited to try!

To give you a quick background, Swipes are flushable intimate wipes made of biodegradable material. They are free from alcohol, parabens and other harsh chemicals, plus they are enhanced with aloe vera to help prevent fungal and bacterial infections. This brand has been on the market for decades, and are proudly women-owned and based right here in the US.

But what really makes Swipes Lovin’ Wipes stand out against other feminine wipes brands on the market is that Swipes are designed specifically for before and after intimacy – woo hoo!

To be honest, I never really tried an intimate wipe. I’ve used other wet wipes or baby wipes, but not a product that was made for that very sensitive area. I didn’t know I needed it, but using the right type of wipes actually makes a huge difference for your vagina. It also makes a huge difference to your bathroom plumbing, but we will get to that later.

Testing out intimate wipes for me meant getting intimate in some way – I had to get the full experience right?

The Swipes packaging is simple, all the main points are listed on the front and are easy to read. Using eco-friendly and cruelty-free hygiene products matters to me, so  I was happy to see that Swipes met both of those requirements. They are also pH-balanced, paraben and chlorine free!

The pack is resealable, and it actually does stick back in place to keep the wipes fresh. I had no issues retrieving the wipes and they did not stick together which has been my experience with some brands.

Intimate Wipes

So, before I got down to business, I decided to use the scented cucumber wipes which were very soft to the touch. THEY SMELL HEAVENLY! The scent is super light and very refreshing. It’s not heavily perfumed or bleachy – it’s just clean with an extra treat. You can definitely take in the cucumber notes, but it is in no way overwhelming.

The wipes had no effect on my sexual experience, I wasn’t too dry or anything like that. I felt nice and fresh – fast forward to the end lol.

When it came down to clean up time, I went for the unscented wipes. They had no smell but still leave behind a hint of freshness without the extras. If you aren’t into aromas down there, these are the intimate wipes for you. When I was done, down the toilet bowl they went without any worry of clogging.

Before and after, I was pleased with my Swipes experience. I felt confident knowing that I was fresh (and cucumber scented) down there, which made sex better. And afterward, the unscented Swipes left me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I didn’t have any dryness or irritation down there after use.

So, is there a real difference between using intimate wipes and baby wipes? Yep. They smelled better, they were durable and I could flush them. Winning.

Generally speaking, there are a lot of options for feminine wipes at your local pharmacy or drugstore. But Swipes Lovin’ Wipes are really only option available if you are looking for a hygiene product that is natural, pH-balanced, cruelty-free and FLUSHABLE!

To answer a few questions you may have:

What’s inside?

Swipes Lovin’ Wipes contains the following ingredients:

Purified Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Glycerin (Derived from Vegetable Oils), Polysorbate 20 (Wetting Agent), Sodium Benzoate, Disodium Cocamphodiacetate (Coconut Oil Derived Mild Skin Cleanser), Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Swipes contain all natural and safe ingredients – so irritation wasn’t a problem for me. If you are extra sensitive down there, I suggest you give their unscented wipes a try.

Can I flush it?

Yes. These wipes are actually flushable, which is more important than you think. You definitely want to flush your intimate wipe after use. Many products we tend to think are flushable (baby wipes) are actually not. And although many brands claim to be flushable, some break apart in water better than others. Swipes feminine wipes are safe for your septic tank and will definitely save you another visit from your plumber. Your kid stuffing the toilet with random stuff around the house is bad enough.

Do you recommend?

Yes! Now that I’ve experienced these intimate wipes, I plan make them a part of my vaginal health routine.  I do wish they offered more scents, but the cucumber does smell lovely so I’m happy with that for now. Also, I love that you can grab these on Amazon Prime, and they offer a sp price if you buy in packs of 3 . Bye bye baby wipes!
